The Value of A Small Class

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope that you have all had a safe and fun New Year’s celebration. I apologize again for the lack of updates these last few weeks — things have been busy this holiday season, but I’m ready to get back on track; and my mind has definitely been on General Education!

I hope that you’ll all take a chance to look at this excellent blog post from Inside Higher Ed. This is extremely pertinent to the entire world of higher education. Does class size matter? How important is profitability? These questions need to be asked, and I think this blog provides some very thoughtful — and helpful — answers! As I schedule faculty, class sizes are getting bigger and bigger. What do you do as a General Education administrator to make sure that the experience is positive and thoughtful for students and faculty alike?

I hope that I can get some feedback on this, and thank you!
